The Story Behind The Glory

Holy Cow Indian Cuisine started out as an idea shared by two local entrepreneurs from Timmins, Ontario in 2016.   They envisioned an Indian restaurant that focuses on serving fresh quality food with an emphasis on takeout and delivery.

When they started this journey, they both agreed that the food needed to be authentic and the quality of ingredients was very important.  A lot of time was spent researching and developing different recipes and recruiting the help and expertise from highly trained Indian chefs.

One year later in the summer of 2017, they realized their dream with the opening of their restaurant in the heart of downtown Timmins.  Holy Cow offers a small casual dining area with quick, friendly service.  It has quickly become a favorite hot spot for the lunch crowd to grab a quick bite to eat.  The menu offers a wide range of options sure to satisfy any palette including some vegetarian and vegan options.

Our Naan-Disclosure Agreement

It’s true! Our fresh tandoor baked signature naan is irresistibly delicious.

But like all traditional naan, it is best eaten within a few minutes of being baked. If left to cool too long, the bread may become a little chewy, although rest assured, the taste and flavour will not be compromised.

We always make the best effort to keep your naan fresh by packing it in our paper-lined foil if you’re not eating it fresh from the tandoor. Although we strongly believe that nothing beats fresh from the tandoor, it’s still pretty darn good just the same!

Here are a few tips to breathe some new life into naan that has been cooled before being eaten:

1. Brush lightly with a little butter or olive oil, wrap in foil, then place in oven for a few minutes.

2. Remove from foil, pat down with a bit of water and microwave for a few seconds until warm.
